Title : Study of economic problems and health risks among the elderly in Sekai Municipality Ubon Ratchathani province

Abstract :Elderly increased the rate of dependency of the elderly population is increasing, respectively especially to health care from their family and social impact on the living conditions and quality of life of people, including political and economic conditions for the elderly quality of life. This research is quantitative research. The objective was to study economic, problems and risk the health of the elderly living in the municipality Ubon Ratchathani province. The population of this study were elderly 60 years and over. This study uses 150 persons. The sample was chosen using a stratified sampling technique. The instruments for data collection were interviewed questionnaires forms. The questionnaire consists of demographic, economic, problems and risk of health in the elderly. The data was analyzed by using frequency and percentage.
The results showed that the majority of females 64.27 % were aged in the range of 60 to 69 years 53.42%, Buddhists 99.53 %, Most of them 76.08% were mostly spouses. They had graduated from primary school 74.23% and no occupation in the family 62.43%. The majority of 64.26% of primary caregivers are their children. Most live in family style. Economy, The majority of 61.97% have no income. In the income adequacy, The majority estimated that 58.74% of income is not enough of living with monthly. Health problems , The majority were 78.52% of the diseases was found in bones and muscles most representing 47.13% followed by disease hypertension, diabetes and 45.23 % blurred vision problem. Risk of health were most of the body mass index greater than normal 42.45%, blood sugar levels higher 39.85% samples 15.33% ever fall in house from 1 to 5 times. The majority have trouble sleeping do not 3 consecutive days close at 46.53% for unknown reasons. Anxiety, worry about their children / fear of being abandoned. 44% of samples need assistance glasses poles lean.
The recommendations should enhance knowledge of health exercise, should be encouraged and should focus on eating. To prevent various diseases that occur with aging, The nurse should visit home and community which is important for health care and lower-cost treatment.
